I can normally tell pretty quickly the sound difference between acoustic and digital, but not with this model. This piano has unmatched sound quality, and give the authentic feel of playing the real ivories. The keyboard is 88 keys and features the state of the art Graded Hammer Standard Keyboard. If you have noticed on an acoustic piano, the lower notes are a little harder to press than the higher notes. The Graded Hammer Standard technology mimics this feel, and produces that same touch when you press the notes. Out of all the different models I tested out, this is by far the best one that I played on in terms of sound and feel.

The customer reviews for this piano are fantastic. It is currently rated 4.5 out of 5 stars on Amazon, and is one of the premiere digital pianos out on the market right now. It is one of the more expensive models out, but it also produces the best feel and sound for a digital keyboard. I would recommend this model for any level of experience. Whether you are a pro or a beginner, you can’t go wrong with this one. Click below to read some more reviews, and to also get the cheapest price right now.

The Casio LK-230 Personal Keyboard is the perfect model for a beginning piano player. At only 61 keys, it is less bulky than a full size keyboard, and weighs less than 24 pounds. This makes it very easy to move the keyboard from one place to another. This digital keyboard comes with all the accessories: Power supply, stand, and headphones.

The Casio LK-230 Keyboard is has a state of the art Step-Up music education system.
I used the Step-Up system when I first learned to play the piano, and it really helped me visualize each note. This learning tool will play a demo song, and each time a note is supposed to be pressed, it will light up the proper key on the keyboard. Each step has different levels of difficulty, so once you master step one, you can move on to step two, and try and incorporate the left hand.

The Reviews:

After doing some extensive research on this digital keyboard, most of the reviews were very positive. The only negative complaints expressed were that the keys would sometimes make a slight noise when pressing them down, and the headphones were not the best of quality. As you can imagine, this can be expected with any entry level keyboard. The reviews on the Step-Up learning system were very encouraging, and people seemed to really like the tutorials. Amazon.com has the keyboard rated 4.7 out of 5 stars.

Our research did turn up a couple of negative reviews, but overall most of the comments were very positive. I would not recommend this keyboard for seasoned piano player, but it is a great purchase for a beginning pianist. For the price this is a great buy, and would be a great selection to learn to play the piano on.

The Reviews:

The reviews for the Casio Privia PX-130 Digital Piano are pretty remarkable. It has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars on Amazon.com, and almost all of the reviews are very positive. The only complaint that I could find, was that the built in speaker was not loud enough for one person’s tastes. That same person did also mention that you can easily hook up larger speakers for louder sound. There were several reviews from veteran pianists who had played on hundreds of different pianos over several decades, and they were very pleased with the sound and the feel of this piano.

Yamaha P-85 Digital Piano Review – This is a great digital piano for serious musicians that want a keyboard that sounds and plays just like a real piano. For the price it is a steal. The keyboard simulates a real grand piano without all of the bulkiness attached. Since it is a Yamaha we know right off the bat that it is excellent quality. It features a full weighted keyboard of 88 keys, that feels just like a real piano does. With the built in MIDI interface you can also record your own songs, and connect to the computer for download.

Weighing in at under 26 pounds, it is easy to move around, and is great for stage performances. The style of the keyboard is very contemporary, and blends in well with any atmosphere. It comes in black, includes a sustain pedal, and also has built in amplifiers and speakers.

The Reviews:

The reviews for Yamaha P85 Digital Piano are excellent. It has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars on Amazon.com, which is pretty remarkable considering there are so many reviews. The only complaints that I discovered, were that the built in speakers were not quite loud enough for a couple of people. An easy solution to that is to use headphones, or attach some speakers if you really want to rock out. Besides those couple of complaints, everyone was pretty pleased with their selection. Click on the link below to read what others are saying.

Overall the reviews for this piano are excellent. For the price this is a great bargain, and would be a great selection for a beginner all the way up to a seasoned professional. Yamaha has a tradition of building excellent pianos, and the P85 doesn’t let down one bit.

The keyboard features 76 Graded Soft Touch keys, which is one octave shorter than a real piano. If you prefer the resistance of weighted keys this may not be the keyboard for you.
The reviews for Yamaha YPG-235 Digital Grand Piano are tremendous. It has a customer review rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars on Amazon.com. The only complaints that I read, were that the keys did not give the resistance of an acoustic piano, and some of the headphones were not working when they arrived.
The Reviews:

The reviews for the Casio AP220 Digital Piano are phenomenal. This piano has an unbelievable customer review rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars on Amazon. This is the best rating of all the pianos reviewed on this website. I tried to find whatever complaints that I could, and I only found one. One person stated that their middle sustain pedal was not functioning properly. Other than that, all of the reviews were raving about how they loved it. One of the reviews on Amazon said ” I knew I was not getting a “real Piano” so my expectations on sound and Piano-like experience were not that high, but I was really surprised with the product. My kids are loving it, the sound is excellent, and best of all: really easy to assemble, and it saves you a lot of room space when comparing it vs a traditional piano. Worth every Penny! ”

This piano would be a great pick for any level of playing experience. Whether you are a first timer, or a seasoned pianist you won’t go wrong with this piano. I highly recommend it if you are in the market. Click on the link below to check out some more reviews.

The Korg SP170 digital piano has a full keyboard of 88 keys, and features the revolutionary Natural Weighted Hammer Action.
The Reviews:

The reviews for the Korg SP170 are absolutely outstanding. The customer review rating on Amazon.com is 4.9 out of 5 stars! The only con I could find about this digital keyboard, is that it only has 10 tones to play with. So if you are looking for a wide selection of sounds to play with, you may want to check out some other keyboard models. All the reviews on Amazon were very positive, and one person was quoted as saying ” We ordered this Korg Keyboard for our vacation condo so our daughter could practice while away from her regular piano. It is excellent! In every way it is excellent. Weight of the keys, the sound, the 88 keys, the ability to plug into earphones and not disturb neighbors. This was by far the best we could have purchased for the space we have and what our needs are. We are very, very pleased!”

Although this digital piano does not tout the big name of a Yamaha or a Casio, it has gotten very positive reviews, and sounds amazing in person. I would highly recommend this digital piano to any experience level of piano player. Check out the video review on the right to listen to some of the high quality sounds this masterpiece can produce!
